To back up the vocational training the Bulgarian gas centre is constructing a training-production network with the relevant necessary equipment, scientific-methodological and staff resources. The training courses are equipped with:
- Sofia-based centre incorporating lecture halls (multimedia, screen, flipchart, charts, models). Hall, equipped with automated training systems and simulators facilitating the training process;
- Laboratories for practical training in: construction and testing of gas installations, assembly and adjustment of gas appliances;
- Computer room;
- Rooms for theoretical preparation in partners’ centres in the country (Varna, Yambol, Ruse);
- Training grounds in Sofia for practical training in construction of gas distribution grids, branches, as well as assembly of gas distribution measuring board. It will also handle part of the R&D activities of the Centre as well as the research for defining the efficiency factor of gasdynamic friction in natural gas flow in PE pipes;
- Warehouse facility;
- Administrative office;
- Amenities (locker rooms, buffet);
- Sanitary facilities.
The activity of the Bulgarian gas centre envisages an annual training of some 1200 trainees from the gas companies in the country. An important prospect for our programme is the forthcoming accreditation of the laboratory for certification of appliances and natural gas materials.
